Special Olympics Gujarat, organize district championship Program for intellectually disabled people of Gujarat every year. 26 districts take part in this competition.  It is mandatory for those aspiring athletes who are willing to go for state, national and international level competitions, to attend and get selected from this district level competition. Gujarat has a strong network of volunteers giving their committed services for selection and assistance in training these special athletes. Scores of special athletes take part in the districts tournaments every year.
